Manual and autonomous flying modes Teams must furnish pilots that have demonstrated adequate piloting skills and documentation
Type Electric Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL)
BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) Team has proven BVLOS experience with its system
Operational Environment AMSL (Above mean sea level) Ability to fly between 1’100 and 1’400m (300m AGL max)
Temperature range & humidity Min 10°C, Max 45°C & 80%
Navigation, Communication & Surveillance Redundant Command and Communication (C2) Link Teams must provide redundant systems e.g. GSM/LTE and Satcom
Onboard Surveillance System E.G. Transponder Mode S, ADS-B, FLARM will be mandatory
Vertical navigation accuracy ± 10m
Lateral navigation accuracy ± 10m
Aircraft can maintain predefined holding points/patterns
Current industry best practice cyber security Malware protection, secured C2 links, encryped data
Onboard (selective and temporary) geofencing Autopilot can be configured so that aircraft cannot fly outside (or into) predefined areas
Flight Termination System (e.g. forced landing, RtH, parachute, airbag)
Ground Control Station (i.e. operator’s screen) Can be viewed by scrutineers, judges and safety officer
Documentation SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) Teams to submit along with their registration
Incident Reports Teams are to submit to a written incident report in case of accidents or mishaps
